The only noticable differences that have happened at the parlor include name change and color change. • Click Here To View Johnson Creek Station • Then: 1961 | Now: 2005 • Formerly known as just the railroad station, it has evolved into the Johnson Creek station as it is not the only railroad station that exists in the park anymore. The current look still highly resembles the look of when the park had first opened. Noticable differences only include the color and name. • Click Here To View Star Mall • Then: 1963 | Now: 2005 • The Star Mall still holds the traditional theming of the first ever Six Flags park, the six flags in which the park represents at the front. In 1963, the carousel had not been in the front mall, and the middle layout with the fountain and landscaping had not been the same. Today, the front is a beautiful sight with a large fountain, flower beds, and the antique Silver Star Carousel centered in the background, along with the six represented flags. • Click Here To View Tower Overview • Then: Circa 1970 | Now: 2005 • This overview shot in 1970 was taken just shortly after the Oil Derrick opened. The most noticable differences seen are in Mexico, where you can see path coverings and the old location of the El Sombrero attraction. Another noticable change is the carousel not up at the front of the park. You can also see the volcano theming from the Fiesta Train. Today, you can see that El Sombrero is in a new location, and that Mexico has some noticable differences, such as a differently themed path, and the bobsled coaster, La Vibora taking up most of the beautiful sight. • Click Here To View Snack Bar/USA Food Court • Then: 1968 | Now: 2005 • The old Snack Bar has evolved into a mall of foods from 1968 to 2005. What was once a simple concession stand is now a bustling food area with pizza, hamburgers, and more. • Click Here To View
